The Van Buren Fine Arts Center is thrilled to present our upcoming district-wide elementary art exhibition, Do You Sea What I See?, featuring artwork from over 2,200 elementary students in the Van Buren School District. This special exhibit showcases the creativity and talent of our young artists, and we invite everyone to come and celebrate their incredible work.

Throughout the semester, students in the Van Buren School District’s elementary art classes have embarked on an exciting artistic journey, drawing inspiration from beloved ocean-themed books, including The Rainbow Fish, Mister Seahorse’s Ocean Friends, and A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carle, Coral Reef by Jason Chin, Kaya’s Journey by Mila Kahlon, One Tiny Turtle by Nicola Davies, and Where the Ocean Meets the Sand by Beth Costanzo. Using these stories as inspiration, students have created stunning 2D and 3D artwork that reflects their imagination and newfound appreciation for the world beneath the waves.

This vibrant initiative will culminate in a district-wide art installation on April 3, 2025, at the Van Buren Fine Arts Center. Families and community members are invited to explore the exhibit and celebrate the artistic achievements of our students. We can’t wait to share their incredible creations with you—see you there!
